We have shirts that will be available at volunteer events or any of the local events we might attend. The shirts are climate-neutral, sweatshop-free, and printed on organic cotton with vegan ink. Our sanctuary doesn’t plan on having many items for sale as we try to be conscious of the impact that bringing more items into existence has on our planet and the individuals who inhabit it. All proceeds from the shirts will go directly to the sanctuary to help with medical, food, shelter, etc., for the residents.

These are black shirts with our logo on the front and the Alabama state flower, the camellia, taken from our logo with the message “Reject violence. Embrace peace. Go vegan.” on the back.

With these shirts, we wanted to create a design that had a message that would promote what veganism is and hopefully spark conversations centered around veganism when wearing them.

We see veganism as a philosophy of justice and peace; the recognition and respect of the basic moral right of nonhuman animals not to be used as property, because they are sentient beings who have moral value, and a peace movement that opposes violence against all sentient beings.

To oppose violence means one must oppose it against all sentient beings, as human and nonhuman animal rights are not mutually exclusive.

All discrimination is violence that uses morally irrelevant reasons, such as species, race, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, etc., to disregard the interests of other individuals. If you reject discrimination against humans then that rejection of violence must include the sentient nonhumans whose existence has been reduced to property to be used for food, clothing, etc., due to them being a different species. To use nonhuman animals is to commit violence and injustice against them by violating their most basic right of not being the property of others.

Reject violence and embrace peace towards all sentient beings. Go vegan.
