Graybloom Farm Sanctuary

A 40-acre abolitionist vegan sanctuary located in Flat Rock, AL that provides a lifelong sanctuary for nonhuman animals, primarily farmed nonhumans, while educating and promoting veganism as a moral baseline to bring about peace, justice, and the abolition of nonhuman animal use.

We regard all GFS residents and nonhuman animals as individual persons with moral value and not things to consume, wear, sell, breed, etc.

We see veganism as a philosophy of peace and justice; the recognition and respect of the basic moral right of nonhuman animals not to be used as property and a peace movement that opposes violence against all sentient beings.

To use nonhuman animals for consumption, entertainment, clothing, domestication, etc. is to commit violence and injustice against them by violating their most basic right of not being the property of others.

To oppose violence against all sentient beings is to advocate for human and nonhuman rights, as these two are not mutually exclusive. All sentient human and nonhuman animals have the right to live their lives without having violence committed against them.

Last but not least, we believe the single most important thing anyone can do for nonhuman animals is to stop participating in their commodification and go vegan.
